Frankie Cambron was born in Nelson County and has farmed here his entire life. He knows this county the way only a farmer can — by season, by fence line, and by who keeps their word.

For 25 years, Frankie and his late wife Linda ran the Old Kentucky Home Stables & Bed and Breakfast together — a small family business that welcomed travelers to Nelson County and kept the barn lights on every night. Linda, who retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield before the two of them poured their hearts into the stables, passed in 2015. Frankie still runs the farm.

Family is the center of it all. Frankie's son Scott Spencer and grandchildren Cody and Leeann are the fourth and fifth generation of Cambrons to work this same ground. And if you've ever driven past the farm and seen peacocks strutting the fence line — that's the Cambron family tradition, going on 70 years of peacocks on the place. Neighbors know it. Kids love it.

Frankie turns 70 this December. He's running because he's watched District 4 change fast — and he believes the people who live here deserve a magistrate who shows up, asks questions, and puts residents first.

Eight years on the election board taught Frankie exactly how Nelson County votes get counted — and he'll tell you straight: the machines aren't hooked up to anything, and the results tapes go to Frankfort.

Frankie defends the integrity of our local elections because he has personally watched the process, start to finish. In a time when a lot of people are quick to say the system is broken, he's one of the few who can say he's been inside it — and it works the way it's supposed to.

That same eye for detail is what he'll bring to the Fiscal Court: show up, read everything, verify everything, and tell the public what he found.
